Diarrhea - Top 4 Effective Ayurvedic Home Remedies & Cure for Diarrhea - Quick Relief

Generally, the intestine absorbs the excess water in the body, but sometimes when it is unable to do so, it results in diarrhea, where the fluid is excreted with the stool, making it frequent and watery. Sometimes this is accompanied with abdominal pain and nausea.

Diarrhea occurs mainly because of an infection of the digestive system, but could also be due to reaction to some food or drug. Whatever be the reason, the electrolyte depletion could lead to dehydration.
Follow these home remedies to ensure the body does not get dehydrated.

Take 1 L of water in a pan.
Add ½ of salt and 1-1/2 tlbsp of sugar.
Stir till the sugar dissolves.
Now add ½ tsp of lime juice.
Keep having this during the day.

To a glass of water, add a tlbsp of psyllium husk.
Drink this 2-3 times in a day.

Grate a ½ inch piece of ginger.
Add this to a cup of water and boil for a few minutes.
Strain, add a tsp of honey, and drink warm.

Take 1 tsp of fenugreek seeds and 1 tsp of cumin seeds.
Dry roast both in a pan, and grind when cool.
Add a tsp of this powder to ¼ cup of yoghurt, and have 1-2 times a day.

Till the infection clears, have clear liquids, black tea, and soft boiled rice, though no fruit juices or other sugared beverages.

Remember, the stomach is a vital organ that processes food, so take care to keep it healthy.
