Fever - Top 3 Natural Ayurvedic Home Remedies - Instant Relief To Bring Down Body Temperature


The normal temperature of the body is 98.4 degrees Fahrenheit, though it can vary in people, so a temperature of till about 99.5 degrees in not really concerning.

Even a short spike in fever is not a cause for panic, as it is just the body’s way of warding off other illnesses. This can be accompanied by symptoms like aches, lethargy, and generally feeling ill.

So what do you do when your body starts feeling hot? 

Take a glass of water and add 1 tsp of methi or fenugreek seeds.
Bring it to a boil, and then let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
Remove from fire and strain the liquid.
Add 1tsp of lime juice and 1-1/2 tsp of honey.
Drink this while still warm 2-3 times a day.

In 1 cup of water, add 2 tlbsp of fennel or saunf seeds.
Boil this well till the water is reduced to half.
Strain, and have a couple of times a day till the fever subsides.

Boil a cup of water.
Grate a small piece of ginger, and add 1 tsp to the water.
Let it sit for 3-4 minutes and strain.
Stir in a tsp of honey and drink it warm.

Take 5-6 fresh basil or tulsi leaves, and wash them well.
Boil in 2 cups of water along with a tsp of green cardamom powder.
Add about 2 tlbsp of milk, bring to a boil, and remove from fire.
Strain, add sugar to taste, and drink hot.
Besides the above measures, soak a small towel in cold water and place over the forehead.

Try these remedies, and once again, do not panic if your temperature goes up a bit for a short period.
